Flower arrangement 'like a painting'
Well on a busy Saturday which saw events and festivals in Danbury, Little Baddow and the neighbouring villages we were thrilled once again to have a super Summer Flower Show. Traditionally the Summer Show is always our smallest show each year, but nonetheless members filled the Memorial Hall with an abundance of roses, flowers, produce, cookery and floral art. We welcomed Rev.Chris Poulard who not only presented the prizes but also chose the winners of The Greatrex Trophy and The Walton Cup. The former went to Joan Brazier whose flower arrangement he described as “like a painting”, and the Junior cup went to Jessica Shipley who had produced an edible hedgehog which was “just right”.
