Pocket plum problems

I have a problem with my ‘Victoria’ plum trees. Back in June they produced a number of fruit with strange shapes. I enclose a couple of samples.

A: Your trees are affected by ‘pocket plum’, caused by the fungus Taphrina pruni. There is no fungicide cure, but it is important to remove as many of the affected fruits as you can. Do this before they develop their spore layers. Be sure to remove any that may form next year.
The problem seldom affects an entire crop and may not return for a couple of years, but it is important to keep a close watch on your trees in early summer. As soon as you see malformed plums, remove and dispose of them quickly.
