Q: How do I get rid of this plant in my friend’s lawn?


A: Your friend’s lawn is infested with mind-your-own-business (Soleirolia soleirolii), sometimes also called Helxine soleirolii. No selective weedkiller will deal with it in a lawn. Raking to pull the stems upwards before mowing may help but the only way to eradicate it totally is to destroy the entire lawn with glyphosate and start again. Sorry!
