Organic Vegetables at Loseley Park, Guildford, Surrey GU3 1HS. A brief introduction to Loseley’s walled garden and its history with a tour of the themed areas followed by an in-depth look at the principles of organic vegetable gardening with tips. From 6pm to 8pm. Admission is £9.95 (£7.95 RHS members).

Great Yorkshire Show at the Yorkshire Agricultural Society, Great Yorkshire Showground, Harrogate HG2 8PW. The premier agricultural show in England. Gates open at 7.30am and close at 7.30pm (6pm on Thursday). Admission £18 in advance (£21 on the gate) for adults and £8 in advance (£10 on the gate) for children.
